If you have three or more aircons, a chemical wash in one visit costs RM100 a unit for 1 to 1.5HP. On its own, the same wash is RM120. That is the whole offer. It is on our pricing page for anyone to check, so you never have to take our word for it.
Here is what it does to your bill, and how to decide whether every unit in the house needs one.
The rates
| Unit size | One unit | Three or more, one visit |
|---|---|---|
| 1 to 1.5HP | RM120 | RM100 each |
| 2 to 2.5HP | RM150 | RM120 each |
The lower rate is for chemical wash bookings of three units or more in a single visit. So if you are going to wash them anyway, book them together.
What three units add up to
Take three 1 to 1.5HP units. At the single-unit price that is RM360. At the multi-unit rate it is RM300, so you keep RM60.
Three 2 to 2.5HP units work the same way. RM450 at the single-unit price, RM360 at the multi-unit rate. You keep RM90.
It is not a huge saving, and we would rather say so than dress it up. But it is real money back for something you were going to spend anyway, and one visit is easier on your day than three.
What a chemical wash actually does
A general service cleans the surface: the filters, the coil surface and the drain tray. A chemical wash goes deeper. It deep-cleans the coils, the fan and the filter with chemical agents, and it removes the grease, the jelly-like slime and the mould that build up inside the indoor unit. Cleaner coils and a clear drain are what bring the cooling back.
That is why it fixes the problems people notice. A musty smell, water dripping from the indoor unit and weak cooling usually come from the same dirty inside.
Does every unit need one?
Not always. A chemical wash is the right call when a unit:
- smells musty when it starts
- has visible mould or black spots on the vents
- drips water from the indoor unit
- cools poorly even on its coldest setting
- has not been serviced in over six months
If a unit was serviced recently and cools well, a general service is enough. That is RM70 flat for any size. It covers the filters, the coil surface, the drain tray, a temperature check and a look at the gas pressure.
So walk round the house before you book. Switch each unit on, smell it, look at the vents. Two minutes per room tells you more than guessing.
How often should you wash them
We suggest a basic service every three months and a chemical wash every six to twelve months. If a unit runs every day in a dusty room, do it more often. Our FAQ has the full answers on service frequency and on chemical wash versus overhaul.
Before we arrive
A few small things make a multi-unit visit go smoothly. Clear some space under each indoor unit so we can work without moving your furniture around. Make sure we can reach the outdoor units, and tell us beforehand if one sits on a high ledge or behind a locked door. Note which units have been giving trouble, and since when, so we can start with those. If you remember a leak or an odd noise, mention it as well. It saves us a lot of guessing.
Booking several units at once
Send us three things on WhatsApp: your area, how many units you have, and the size of each. If you are not sure of the HP, a photo of the label on the indoor unit usually settles it.
We cover 46 areas across Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, and you can find yours on the service areas page. Same-day slots are possible, subject to availability, if you message before noon. Call or WhatsApp 011-2677 0063 and we will give you the total before we start. It will match the price list.
