Chemical wash prices
An aircond chemical wash with Pro Aircon Service costs RM120 per unit for 1 to 1.5HP and RM150 per unit for 2 to 2.5HP. Wash three or more units in one visit and the rate drops to RM100 and RM120 per unit. These prices were last updated in October 2026.
| Unit size | One unit | 3 or more units, one visit |
|---|---|---|
| 1 to 1.5HP | RM120 | RM100 each |
| 2 to 2.5HP | RM150 | RM120 each |
Chemical wash and overhaul include a 1-month water leaking warranty.
You can see the full list, including general service, overhaul, troubleshooting and installation, on our aircond service price list.
What the chemical wash includes
- Deep cleaning of the coils, the fan and the filter with chemical agents.
- Removal of the grease, jelly-like slime and mould that build up inside the indoor unit.
- A 1-month water leaking warranty. If water drips or leaks within 30 days, we fix it free.
- Before and after photos sent to you on WhatsApp after the job.
Cleaner coils and a clear drain are what bring the cooling back. That is why a musty smell, water dripping from the indoor unit and weak cooling often have the same cause: a dirty inside.
Chemical wash, general service or overhaul?
The three services clean to different depths. Pick the one that matches the state of your unit.
| Service | Price | What it is | Choose it when |
|---|---|---|---|
| General service | RM70 flat | Cleans the surface: filters, coil surface and drain tray, with a temperature and gas pressure check. | The unit was serviced recently and cools well. |
| Chemical wash | RM120 to RM150 | Deep-cleans the coils, fan and filter with chemical agents. | It smells musty, drips, shows mould, cools poorly, or has gone over 6 months. |
| Overhaul | RM200 to RM250 | Full disassembly. Every internal component is taken apart for a deep clean. | The unit is very dirty or has not been serviced for a long time. |
Our blog goes deeper on the choice: chemical wash vs regular service and chemical wash or overhaul for an older unit.
Signs your aircon needs a chemical wash
- It cools less than before, even on the coldest setting.
- A musty or foul smell comes out when it starts.
- You can see mould or black spots on the vents.
- Water drips from the indoor unit.
- It has been more than 6 months since the last service.
If the unit is leaking, see our guide to why an aircon leaks water. If it is not cooling, read why an aircon is not cold.
Washing more than one unit
If you have three or more aircons, book them for the same visit. For three 1 to 1.5HP units that is 3 × RM120 = RM360at the single-unit rate, or 3 × RM100 = RM300 at the multi-unit rate, so you keep RM60. For three 2 to 2.5HP units it is RM450 against RM360, so you keep RM90.
It is a modest saving, but it is real, and one visit is easier on your day than three.
What can change the price
The rate depends on the HP size and on how many units are washed in one visit. If a separate fault turns up while we are there, such as a weak capacitor (RM100 for 1 to 1.5HP, RM150 for 2 to 2.5HP), it is quoted separately from the wash. We do not charge a call-out fee.
How often to do it
We suggest a basic service every 3 months and a chemical wash every 6 to 12 months. If the aircon runs every day in a dusty room, do it more often. A recently serviced unit that still cools well may only need a general service.
